In the last couple of years I have been utilizing the sketchbook when not in my regular studio routine. Some years I go through 3-5 sketchbooks. These drawings are an attempt to emphisize the scale and material usage beyond the comfort zone of a sketchbook. These are studies and finished pieces in themselves. Prepatory for larger work on canvas and ideas about painting space.
