Jenniffer Omaitz
Opening March 9 at BAYarts in Bay Village, Ohio
7-9pm through April 6

This recent body of paintings, an assemblage and a site-specific installation show a cross-section of works by artist, Jenniffer Omaitz. This is the first major show where Omaitz is building a body of work that is both 2D and 3D for a specific space.

Omaitz brings together ideas of architecture, geometry, painterly abstraction and site specificity to this current collection of work.

While her paintings often rely on a constructed viewpoint to interior and exterior spaces, these are balanced by the installtion. Spaces both real and imagined; dualities, boundaries, and new experiences become compounded authentic experience. Energy from both practices reveal a depth of investigation for ongoing interrelationships between order and chaos as they fluctuate between environment and dimension.
